I had the privilege of reading the first few chapters of this manuscript when I met Gbemi at a SCBWI workshop a few years ago. Gbemi is full of fun and was very kind to the lone Canadian at the Princeton workshop. This is an impressive debut book, as full of heart, funny and original as its author.
