realize that i haven't posted in quite a while. some randoms:
- no school this semester. i've completed all but one or two of my non-nursing courses, so when i'm back in nursing proper this fall i'll have a lighter schedule than most. classes last semester went very well. A+ in nutrition and an A in native studies. probably could have had an A+ in the latter, but having the final a few hours before departing to texas made studying a little tough, both mentally and physically.
- e.i. runs out in about a month. should have been longer, but it was a slow fire season and i barely made the minimum number of hours. but, had i worked more hours i probably would have been able to afford full time school. sigh. this means i should find a job.
- teaching two fire courses: one at the end of march and the other at the end of april.
- i swore i was finished, but i'm going back to firefighting this summer. this will make it ten consecutive years. a goddam decade! yikes. new position, though. will be a 'sector leader'. i will now be looking after a number of crews on bigger fires. no more initial attack for me. that's ok, i guess. i've had my fair share of 'one-tree-wonders'. not sure if this new position will be better or worse. just different. and with sector leader certification, i'm able to enter the air attack program.
video time. here's a few videos of air attack action:
1. air attack practice. as an air attack officer, i'll be coordinating in the small lead plane (bird dog). 2007.
-edit-
