The great outdooors

Just thought I should document our yard/garden somewhere. So much work still to be done, but looks better than it did when we moved in. Next early spring, my plan is to get it landscaped completely, in the back. Get it cut out all along the border and get some bushes, shrubs, greenery in, just to get me started, and then we will take over. But ( Read more... )

The garden is looking good. Liz and I need (NEED I say!) a garden. We need to start house hunting soon...

Swing sets are essential, too. Swings and beer go together well (but not for someone Zoe's age).

I like doing yardwork! I wish Chicago lots weren't so small. Or expensive, for that matter...

are you guys looking for a house?

Yes. We really want a yard. While the guys that live above us in the carriage house are really cool, nice guys and the frat boys and trashy girls in the front building have largely been replaced by quieter neighbors, we have no interest in a condo being surrounded by other people.

in the city, or outside?

In the city.

you say you like doing yardwork now...just wait...until you have to buy things you never even knew existed, and every time you go outside you feel the need to pull weeds that you just pulled the day before.

but it is nice too :)

hey, did you see the new season of Doctor Whos yet? Did you hear the news about the new companion, the new Dr, and the new director??

The newest Doctor we're familiar with is the second one and the newest assistant we're familiar with is "Martha Jones". We can't stand Martha Jones.

I basically like the second Doctor, but I think Christopher Eccleston was superior. We'd probably like Doctor #2 better if it weren't for dreadful Martha. Although the Daleks episode set in 1920s NY was terrible even without Martha's help... Actually the last few episodes that we've seen have been underwelming; perhaps a new director is as much to blame as one of the worst assistants ever?!

Come to think of it, I am bored bored bored of Daleks.

Is the Doctor regenerating again? If he is I hope he comes to his senses and strands Martha in a black hole...

Actually the current director is still the same. I am talking about the next series after this one. Ooops, sorry. We had already downloaded this whole series, so I am thinking ahead :

I don't mind Martha. But I like Christopher E. better too.
