I've been sick... I just thought I needed some rest, so I slept. I went to bed with a splitting headache on Friday and woke up with it the next day. I ran around that Saturday afternoon doing my errands like I would usually do, and came home with a really really BAD chill. I was running a high fever and now matter how many layers of winter clothing, and burried under layers of blankets, I couldn't fight off the shaking. Something felt wrong. This wasn't normal sick, this was scary sick. I felt nauses. I felt light headed. I went upstairs to be with someone. I was hugging and sulking my mom for comfort. The next thing I know I felt no feelings in my arms, my head felt like it was being compressed, and all I kept saying was "I'm gonna pass out...I'm gonna pass out...I'm...".
I was rushed to the ER room at Etobicoke Hospital. Crying and in so much pain I waited for about half an hour before I got to see anyone. I was hooked up to so many machines. Something to monitor my heart, one to monitor my blood pressure, something for my lungs. I had needles poking in my arms taking blood out, putting foreign liquids in. X-rays were done to check for pneunmonia...God knows what these people were looking for. After 5 hours of being hospitalized they found a serious infection in my blood, and quite possibly in my kidneys, but they're not absolutely sure. Anyways, I went home, weak, pumped with meds, and had fevers that left my sheets damp, and body aching and exhuasted in the morning.
