fayanora's commentary= spot on and the inane chatter about spelling and grammar hurts my brain.
actually, i hate that right now my health care coverage can change at the drop of a hat... meaning when my husband changes jobs. and by change it means i have to see a NEW doctor. yes it would be a type of government health insurance... inactive and active duty status be damned getting a civilian government job would mean i'd still have to change doctors.
so i have to get in to see SOMEONE but to pay $400 for a deductible on this new insurance is dumbshit when bill is going to be active duty until september. because i have referrals and tests to get done and then i would maybe probably switch to the civilian government insurance in september. and then ... the whole having to find a new doctor who takes my particular new insurance grates on my nerves... on top of having to wait to see the overpaid doctors as a 'new patient'.
i like socialized medicine. i mean, government health insurance doesn't fuck you over with preexisting conditions and shite. that is why i have never gotten health insurance thru my own employer... because any affiliation with the military/national guard, etc. gives the member and their spouse health coverage that covers IT ALL. i was quite happy until my husband went active duty and then i found out i had to change my doctor.
well,... i can see my old doctor but because he's out of network i would have to pay $70 plus a $20 refill on a prescription. fuck that, i'm going to take my old prozac even though i hate it for the side effects but i ran out of my other stuff. and bill's like just see your old doctor because you can get in quickly and then you can get your meds and be over and done with... but suffice to say changing health insurance 3X in a year is not what i want to do.
socialized medicine SHOULD mean that i can see my chosen doctor my entire lifetime NO MATTER WHAT MY HEALTH INSURANCE. fuck this shit and getting "NEW" referrals.
