I don’t know if the resurrection process is painful by default but, it would make sense if the last death was traumatic. Think about Scar and he’s died in combat so many times. Shannon got proof that she really is a Cylon and Six died in a nuclear blast with window shards piercing her body. I’d be interested to see the resurrection process of someone who didn’t die violently or traumatically.
As for Gaius/Six, they’re both very insecure people so it would make sense for both of them to want to have a strong person to attach to - hence the über-confident visions they have of each other. That said, I think Gaius is narcissistic to the point where it’s about him him him whereas, I do think Six has a moral conscience (or at least wants one or at least wants God’s grace) even if she is a good liar and um, killed twelve billion people. Anyways, that’s how I fanwank the positive influence that Vision!Gaius has on Six and the negative influence Vision!Six has on Gaius.
That's a good line of argument about Six and Gaius and the reversed visions. It would make sense that they were a reflection of their own capacity or incapacity for moral reflection. I have lots more to say but will save it till I post on the finale--have you seen it?
Yes, I have seen it! But it will be a few weeks before the boyfriend will have seen it since I’m mailing him episodes 13 to 20 tomorrow morning. I’m trying hard to not spoil him so I haven’t talked about it in my LJ and have been wanting and waiting for people to talk about it in their LJs.
Hee! Right! I too know lots of people who haven't seen it yet. But I'll definitely post on it soon. (My uncle died yesterday, and it's by boyfriends' birthday tomorrow, so it's been a distracting weekend--otherwise I would have posted instanteously!)
I thought it was interesting seeing how the cylons, and the line about Six being a hero to them and standing out amongst all the other models was telling.
Yeah--lots of dramatic and interesting cylon development! Six is a wonderful manipulator, but it's interesting to see individual versions of the models revered.
