I just finished watching it. Oh, the end where MJF's character tells Alicia that they 'lost' and Alicia taking that all in at the end at the party which isn't so much the victory party that she thought it was.

oh, blake. I don't like him. XD

The thing I love is that Will and Peter aren't nice guys. It's not like Alicia went from a morally gray jerk to a nice guy; she has a type, and that type is "Grade A Bastard." I have a theory that she fell for Peter, in part, because he reminded her of Will.

That being said, romance is not even close to being the most compelling part of this show. Which is awesome.

Ahaha, I like your theory! I think there are differences between Peter and Will, but they do share a willingness to manoeuvre their way to the top of the heap at all costs. I think the thing that makes Peter more annoying to me is that he perceives himself (and presents himself) as a 'good guy'. Hypocrisy is a turn-off! If you're a slimy bastard, admit you're a slimy bastard! ;)

But it's true that all the legal and political manoeuvring is most gripping.

I'm giving Eli a pass on his stupidity about the breast implants thing because he doesn't know he's on genre tv--but I called that the minute we heard the word "breast implants." Still, I agree with you that his manipulating the plant in the campaign was awesome.

I liked the scenes between Cary and Kalinda enough that I'm kind of shipping them now. Cary strikes me as fundamentally similar to Kalinda, somehow, though in a much more nascent stage. But I love the powerplay stuff, and I'm REALLY curious about what favor he might have asked her for in return.

Blake has suddenly become kind of scary to me--obviously in addition to working for the meth gang we're to believe he beat up that doctor so he couldn't testify again, right?--so I too am nervous about his connection with Will. I think (hope) Kalinda can handle him, though.

On matters Kalinda-related, I have more mixed feelings. Part of me doesn't want to see all Kalinda's secrets dragged out the show, and I hope that's not where we're going. I like her as an enigma..... The other ( ... )

Hee hee, yes I felt more shippy of Cary and Kalinda too! Those two 'get' each other.

Yeah, Blake is really scary!! Actually one of the things that made him seem scariest to me was Kalinda's reaction--both to Cary's information and then at the party. I think she knows she's in deep and that crossing Blake could seriously be dangerous.

Part of me was psyched to see confirmation that she has relationships with women, but part of me wanted that to stay a mysteryRight! I mean I can roll with it... but I also liked it when we didn't know and could fully appreciate the impact of Kalinda's 'I'm private' responses (which may I say I love as a response ( ... )
