True Blood Tuesdays
I haven't been posting on it (yet) but I have been watching the new season of True Blood and greatly enjoying it--what a relief to have some TV escapism back! And today I just finished a big job so I thought it would be a good chance to recap on the first few eps while waiting for the new one.

Flag football was lolarious--I felt like we were in FNL for a moment there! And I found the cheesy teen-pop-virginity-for-Jesus song amusing as well.
Sam is troubling me. I used to like him! But they write him as cranky all the time and I think that's supposed to be cute or funny but it's just pissing me off and feeling one-note! I feel like they could be doing so much more with him... he's interesting, damn it! So I vote for less Sam or more smart Sam--but not more of pissed-off-but-not-very-smart Sam, which is what we seem to be getting at the moment.
I have come to a place of TOTAL ADORATION for Michelle Forbes, after seeing her in several different series. She always steals the show, and I am staggered that she's never been given her own lead role... I mean if I was a TV director I would be sleeping on her doorstep until she agreed to work with me! The woman is GOLD.
I think sarcastic Tara will return: I have high hopes after her mid-party tantrum.
