This show has flown to the top of my list of guilty pleasures. It's just so bad that it's good. I wondered if Amy was going to kill Eddie with a red Swingline stapler though, which actually says more about me, doesn't it? LOL
Gah! I have to go to work (I'm SO late!), but I can't wait to come home and read your comments in detail.
I'm always a bit sketchy on Bill and Sookie, but I adored him at that tribunal. I felt like he was finally a bit more "defined" to me - and I liked him, a lot!
Sookie - still working on it. *grumbles*
Lafayette, Tara, and Jason are the ones that grab my interest the most on this show so far. I just LOVE watching them and am totally invested in their stories.
I'm really glad that Sam's secret is out now. I'm finding him a lot more interesting with some backstory.
Yeah, I've been sketchy on Bill and Sookie. They were not really 'my' ship, though I appreciated their chemistry at times. I agree that Bill is way more defined now--we've seen him in his 'home' context with other vampires and I understand better how he differs from them: and yay! he is an idealist and an anti-vampire-establishment figure and he believes in human-vampire equality. That's bound to get me on board!
Sookie was not very likeable in this episode, imho.
Lafayette, Tara, and Jason are the ones that grab my interest the most on this show so far. I just LOVE watching them and am totally invested in their stories. Lafayette and Tara were my big drawcards to begin with and Jason snuck up on me--he's just so entertaining and now I find myself invested in seeing him get out of this quagmire he's got into.
I'm also glad Sam's story is out there--I have wanted to like Sam from the start but found it hard not knowing his 'deal' because I didn't want to invest in a character I didn't fully know yet.
I totally agree that there was so much happening in this episode (and in most episodes) but I still want so much more! This week especially, it felt the end of the ep came so much faster than i wanted it to

Yes! I instantly begin craving next week's ep. It's been ages since I've felt this way about a show, even my long-term ones.
Sookie what he is. I thought they might drag out the werecollie suspicions longer. And I'm so sad for his 15-year-old self and want to know so much more. I know! I was glad they leapt straight to confession. It actually felt like Sam had been hoping Sookie would 'notice' about him for some time--he really seized the opportunity to tell her the whole story. It must be lonely having no-one know and wow, I felt sorry for him re. the rejection because it seems like he's been rejected a lot of times before (and by his adopted family--eep!).
t she can't keep up this level of misery. (Dude, even Starbuck at her lowest wasn't this bad.)I seriously started to think the same thing. But the Starbuck call is a BIG one! ;) Though when she and Sam had their 'let's have sex, omg no, let's fight'/*flail*/WTFdoyouwantfromme/Nothing! *storm off* moment (again!), I

Great recap. This is not a campy show per se, and I wouldn't call it a comedy by any stretch, yet every episode ends with me just tickled by the whole thing.
I had a large LOL when Sookie saw Sam's transformation and told him 'shut.the.fuck.up'.
I found myself liking/understanding both Bill and Eric more after the tribunal episode. I think Bill wants to think of himself as human as much as possible but his world just is not going to allow that. I'm curious as to what his 'creative' punishment is going to be.
And I don't get the restaurant thing either. I thought it was like the time at Fangtasia when Sookie could see the guy getting chomped by the vamp in the bathroom and that there was a girl being eaten right then in Merlotte's. But maybe this is the murderer and she's seeing his most recent victim.
I think Terry is too sweet to be believed. Somethin's gonna happen to/with that boy.

I found myself liking/understanding both Bill and Eric more after the tribunal episode. Same. I understand both of them better as characters because we saw them in their own environment and each of them had personal integrity in terms of their personal 'codes'. Bill does seem naive to think he can get away with staying as 'human' as possible but I really sympathise with him wanting to

The vampire casting is brilliant, too, IMO.
