Returned from the rainforest
Hello there peoples! This is just a quick note to let you know that I'm back. I had the most incredible time in the Daintree. It's definitely one of the most amazing places I've ever visited and a complete world away from my city stresses. Once I've sorted them out I'll post some photos, but to give you a quick idea, I saw two cassowaries (*glee*), six crocodiles, a sea turtle, a reef shark, heaps of tropical fish on the reef, huge tropical butterflies, a bandicoot, loads of freshwater turtles (I swam with them!) and fish, heaps of musk rat kangaroos (adorable little guys that scuttered around at breakfast with us), as well as all sorts of insect life, most of which I wasn't actually scared by. Oh, and my first ever firefly!
I won't be reading my f'list until the weekend (and until I've seen Ep 4.1 of BSG, which looking at the pile of work in front of me won't be any time soon). But drop me a line if there are posts you want me to check out on the weekend.
