So I finished all nine episodes of Season 1...
Did they just explode Cameron?!! Aiieeeeekkkk! Noooooo! My favourite new character cannot go pfft! That is BANNED. Especially not when she's been sent out to buy birthday cake. (I found them sending the cyborg killing machine for cake ridiculously charming!)
I thought 'Vick's Chip' was a great episode--very creepy, with lots of interesting material to reflect on where Cameron is concerned. I like the way she fits in the show because she's not the only one whose motivations are called into question. Sarah and John are constantly second-guessing what they should or shouldn't do as well--the path to stopping the future is never clear and while Cameron's way is brutal, it might also be their only chance. I like that paradox. And like John I want to trust Cameron. But for that reason I'm also wary of her: she's seductive, and potentially unpredictable. But I found her having her chip removed really confronting--especially since we know that she was moved by the death of the other terminator.
And now she's 'sploded?! Nooooo!! They must do some time-jumpy business to get her back. *nods*
Oh, and I loved the scene where John went to see his wee!father play baseball in the park. That was gorgeous. I think John's shaping up as my second favourite character because his longing for family seems so palpable and because of his trust in Cameron.
The other Cameron scene I loved was the 'no, it belongs to the guy I killed and stuffed in the trunk' scene. *facepalm* If she comes back, they really need to do some more house-training.
So what happened with this show? It got cut short because of the writer's strike, is that right? But there's a second season on the cards? But not officially yet?
