Of lesbian-ish men and other happy-making things
I have been anxious and jittery this week, hence the lack of posting. I have a stressful work commitment tomorrow which will mean I won't be able to watch Smallville until the weekend (grrr... after it's been off for so long... grrr). Hopefully I will feel much better when it's over

Oh, ITA about the alpha-female! SV Lois is pretty kickass when she's all serious, Chloe when she wasn't being confusing about either Clark of Lex, and Martha when she's not being vague and dating Lionel. Dana Scully, before I stopped watching X-Files when it all became confusing. Buffy, before she died (despite and maybe because I ship Spuffy). Illyria, even when she was depowered. Mystique in the X-Men movieverse. Princess Leia before the horrible Ewoks scenes. I wasn't aware I had so many, so I have to stop there before it would seem more of crushes rather than girlcrushes. :D
I remember reading the article in GQ (I think it was last month's) about the man crush scale and laughing about it, and the list in Mancrush.com was similarly amusing, but now I got curious about the differing criteria straight men and women use rate their fictional same-sex crushes. Maybe we should all make a picspam about it for comparison, but then it might turn out to be all about their appearances to those with which they would most likely apply (i.e. TV and other visual media characters), which might lead to uncomfortable revelations. :D
