Night shift - the good points:
- fewer people around to annoy me
- more opportunities to learn new things at work
- buses are not crowded
- seeing a beautiful sunrise at the end of the workday
- I get some quality me-time before and after work
- I can take a nap around sunset
- I can schedule appointments for any time during the day - no loss of hours, only a loss of sleep
Night shift - the bad points:
- surrounded by mullets
- no lunch lady
- co-workers who come to work inebriated
- listening to the QA guys (a Croatian, a Serb, an Egyptian, and a Mexican) discussing geography and politics
- I rarely see darling hubby conscious during the week
- telemarketers
- trying to sleep through a beautiful fall day
After two shifts, I can say that it isn't the worst thing in the world - and I can say that there are definitely things that I would rather be doing instead. Oh well, it pays the bills for now - and it's only for two weeks.
