Why did the sheep cross the road?

I'm not gonna even start to talk about Das Circus. Not worth the time.

Went out to the Track & Field 2007 festival, taking place just outside of beautiful Rockwood, Ontario. For the second year in a row, a nice couple turn their farm into a festival ground, size small. It started at noon, but I didn't get there until early evening. Caught a couple of bands, a few errant rays of sunshine, and the attention of several thousand hungry mosquitos.

Some days, I want to yell at the damn skeeters, "See! Right here on the bottle! It says that you are supposed to leave me alone!" Yeah, trust my luck to always interact with illiterate mosquitos.

As I drove back into town as the sun set, I was almost run into by an errant sheep. Yes, a sheep. A big one - its back was taller than the car's hood. It was running along beside the road - obviously making a break for freedom. So, big mister full-on fluffy sheep decides to gallop across the road in front of me. He didn't signal his lane change, but I signalled my displeasure at being cut off. As he came to a full stop in the middle of the road, he signalled his thoughts by dumping a huge steaming pile in the other lane, then wandered off into a field as if nothing had happened.

There was no "Sheep Warning" sign on the road. I admit, I've never seen a sheep that big in my life. I've seen some large sheep, but this thing was, like, totally huge!

In other related news, I spent several hours underneath coniferous trees today. Not a single pinecone fell anywhere near me.

happy day, gigs!, boozymatic action, movement, silliness, music, entertainment, knowledge, thankfulness
