what a freakin night!!
wow last night...where do i begin....last night was the much anticipated story of the year, lost prophets, my chemical romance, and anberlin concert.
It all started with a little ride to milwaukee....first off we had to wait for barry and we were getting a little impatient because we were behind schedule and he insisted on maked his *free hugs* sign. Well after he finished not even 10 min into the car ride, barry threw something out the window, and what else gets sucked out the window....his free hugs sign...hahaha...omg we all had a good laugh.
When we finally reached milwaukee we had a good parking spot right across the street from the venue....but it was 18 bucks..but we payed just cause we would be able to leave easily.
When I entered the Rave...i was shocked. It was a very small place and when they collected our tickets, they herded us into the bar like cattle for some reason. So we waited there until they finally opened the doors to the concert room. To my surprise this was actually a pretty small place. It would be a very intimate concert i guess you could say because there wasnt more than 2000 people there probobly.
Once those doors opened however, it was a mad dash to the stage. We got a spot atcually close to the stage. So it was pretty good. We waited for the techs to tune up and sound check, and then the concert started.
Anberlin----- I have actually never heard of this band before the concert.....but now I am hooked. They played a really good set. I guess you can compare their music to story of the year mixed with lost prophets. They put on a very energetic show....I would definitly see them again.
My chemical romance....again another good band....their live show was awesome...they got the crowd going and they really knew how to keep the crowd into it. I am definitly going to get some of their music
Lost prophets---what can i say...a good band, an unbelieveable show...they were really the band I came to see and they did not disappoint me. I would never hesitate to go see this band again for a third time
Story of the year----impressive is all i can say....ive never seen more energy in a band while doing a live performance. I have heard a few of their songs in the past and thought they were just ok...but that has changed now.
Some other things that happened/noticed during the concert:
- We all agreed that if there was a fire....we would be screwed
- I got in a mosh pit...it was awesome....got punched in the face.....not awesome
- My neck is sore today
- My eye is a little swollen
All in all it was a good night...there may be pictures...depending on how they turn out....so stay tuned
