Last night me and my BF went out the the Rickshaw Stop. As i was getting ready I was just like "i'mnotgoingtodrink, i'mnotgoingtodrink, i'mnotgoingtodrink NONONONO!". I could see all my work this week going down the tubes if I had even a single drink, because, it seems like every time i drink, even in moderation, like 2 weekends ago, I end up backsliding. Also, staying in really wasn't an option. So, I had to commit not to drink any alcohol.
We got there and there was a line, which we got past thankfully, and inside it was packed. I don't know if it was just that I was sober, but people were really acting like drunk idiots, above and beyond normal levels of drunk-idiocity. The party got flavorpilled, i think, so there was a contigent of cheesy-ass Marina people in the crowd, feeling the need to prove they weren't lame by acting like complete douchebags. This one chick, who was boring and Marina-looking, threw a wet and/or sweaty piece of clothing through the air, aiming at a banister, and managed to hit me and my two friends. It was nasty. This one dude was trying to make some progress with T. She was really drunk, and he was too. She was standing next to the group of the rest of us talking with him and he just straight up drops an entire beer on the floor and acts as if he didn't do it. She was so drunk that she barely noticed. The rest of us were totally pissed and as we slowly realized how exactly we all came to be covered in beer, he just walks off. wow.
I'd like to make a habit of going out and not drinking at all because it was pretty nice. So... I hope this was an anomaly. Or maybe I just need to be more careful about where we go out, to avoid excessively drunken people. I should start checking flavorpill to see where NOT to go, for sure. hah.
Otherwise, I had a pretty good time, and am glad I went out and was successful in not drinking anything. just a diet coke and water. (victory!) Immigrant was really good and Monsters are Waiting was a'ight.
I took of my shoes and got on the scale this morning at the gym and ta-da!!! 136! One pound lost! I'm so glad that I'm seeing progress on the scale again. I guess there's really something to that theory that, when you're plateauing and still working really hard, you should just take it easy for a few days to reset your metabolism. I'm so happy!
Did an hour-long step class, as well as a little bit of weights: shoulders (up, front and side) and standing row.
Yesterday: 1500 calories
