I can pretend to be him and make up answers, if you like. He was rather fond of sheep's-milk cheese and those little fruit hard candies, though he was prone to choking on those if they weren't crushed up enough. I'm sure Percy and Ron would know more.

I think you're probably right. It wouldn't really be that interesting to have made-up answers from a rat.

And I rather imagine Professor Binns would not respond all that well to false rat answers.

Especially because, well, how do you make that up? 'I am quite fond of cheese, my boy.'

Well, they're real answers, sort of. Scabbers DID like sheepsmilk cheese. I just doubt that it's quite the sort of thing Binns has in mind.

Well, yes, I presume so.

I think this gets the gold star for being the oddest conversation I've had today, do you realise that?

Does it really? I feel like I've accomplished something, somehow.

Most days it would be up against more difficult odds, but yes. I believe it does.

That's all right. I think I'll start trying to come up with questions for my interview partner, since you've gone and spoiled my attempt to procrastinate.

And yours looks to be different than mine, at least. On a lot of levels, though from appearances it seems that it's another constructive one.

Yeah, I'm a little bit of a loss but I'm not bothered by the pair-up. And I think the first is just because I'm bloody tired and not feeling like doing anything at all.

It's somewhat odd, but most of these are, honestly.

And I know the feeling. On a level which would likely shock you, I know the feeling.

I've begun to think I don't find you shocking at all. Sorry, I'm sure it's disappointing.

You have never, once, been shocked by anything regarding me, whatsoever?

And you don't think you ever will be?

I do believe I would feel mildly let down, if I really did care about things like that.
