This morning saw my mother, Martha and Aunt Gemma off to church for Easter services. Having far better things to do than go and kiss the arse of someone who died almost two-thousand years ago, if he existed at all, I stayed home and had a rather restful morning sleeping in, reading, revising, and, eventually, arguing with graduate students.

Apparently, Justin did not have better things to do, however, because he went, too. I suppose that it is always important to go and give purely mythological entities their full due, however.

At this moment, I am sitting on the roof with an almost-finished cigarette, a book of poetry, a pair of dying headphones and a tape. Shortly, possibly right after I finish this entry, I plan to climb down and go for a nice, long, walk around the block.

It's a pretty nice day. Good to know I don't have to waste it doing things I would much rather not.
