Yes, you lot. What, we have a problem with group definitions now? Ironic.
And you've shown yourself to completely and utterly miss my point on every possible particular. It's impressive.
Let's walk back to the beginning and go through piece by piece, no?
You said you liked me better as a bogeyman. I said just about everyone would.
And then you agreed, that it's easier to deal with an enemy when you don't need to look them in the eye.
Then, out of pure lack-witted inanity, you changed your side to a muddleheaded lack of logic.
The following things you have said are true and correct: It is easier to hit something when you know that it is a target, and a target is easier when it has a form. Neither of these negate or touch on the original point.
In fact, you're showing a remarkable ability to miss my point. It's something between amusing and sickening, and it explains a lot, I think.
And I say only a monster can kill a monster. And only a human can kill a human. It's lucky, then, that all humans are a bit monsterous...
Every single conversation you have with someone you don't think up to your 'standards' ends up sounding like "blah blah blah, you're not as smart as I am, so you're stupid." Then, whenever someone you don't like says something that does strike on the truth, you call them stupid outright. It's really rather irritating, and of course you're going to take this as an opportunity to completely sidestep anything that I say in my post and call me an idiot.
'You lot' means you're not including yourself in that group.
And I changed my mind because I decided that I would rather look my enemies in the eye than to be constantly fearing shadows. It's harder in some ways, but maybe I'm monster enough myself to do it.
Every conversation I ever have sounds even worse from my point of view, with very, very, very few exceptions. And it's very hard when I'm actually trying to make a point and no one hears.
And, yes, we've learned the meaning of groups now, as well. That is exactly what is implied by 'you lot', isn't it?
And you're, again, not seeing my point. I'm beginning to wonder if it's a lost cause.
'When you look into the abyss, the abyss looks into you'. You've heard that quote, correct?
Eyes reflect. That's all I'm saying.
And I don't question being a monster or a human. Or both. They're synonyms.
I'm just interested in how you define 'you lot'. Because you say it would be hard for 'you lot' to fight a visible You-Know-Who. Which doesn't, apparently, include you.
I've never heard that quote. I was never good with Muggle things. I'd always just ask Ce someone else.
But I think I know what the quote means, and what you're oh-so-subtly guiding me towards. The only problem is, I don't care. That's not the point I'm trying to make.
If fighting monsters means I'm a monster, so be it. At least I can kill the bastards.

And so are you.
