Between school and work
I honestly had one of the best/laziest days ever today. Woke up at 8:30 (really don't know why, but that's when my body decided was time to get up), and then proceeded to spend the rest of the day snoozing. Either on the air mattress in my room, or on the bed in Jamie's room while he played computer games. I love it. I'm usually in a similar sort of mode whenever I come to a break in school (Christmas break, exam time after I'm done all of mine), when I spend about a week getting as much sleep as possible. According to the Sleep class I took last year, it's actually pretty common. Just my brain relaxing after shoving as much into it as possible. Anyway. Good times.
The only thing I did accomplish today was a trip to the bank with the intention of getting some travellers cheques for Cuba. I hadn't originally intended on getting any, I figured cash would be fine, but yesterday Kunal went on a big rant about how much better they are. So fine. Jamie and I headed downtown, and stopped of at his bank (RBC) first. He was told that Cuba doesn't want Canadian/US money, and that they'll only accept the Cuban peso. Which we have to get either in the Cuban airport, or at the resort. So that's what we get from listening to Kunal, a wasted trip for Jamie. I actually had to go to the bank anyway, because I need cash to pay people back for stuff this week. All good things.
Other than that, really not much going on right now. Waiting to hear back from Elaine on the final draft of my thesis, to see if she and/or my second reader want any changes before it's really final. Have a poster presentation on Friday, which I'll start getting ready for tomorrow. Been playing a lot of "Fable: The Lost Chapters" which is a pretty fun game, but I'm stuck right now so it's pissing me off. Aaaaaaaand only 5 more days until we're leaving for Cuba!! *happy dance*
Also, I'm fairly certain everyone figured it out, but Jamie got a hold of my lj account yesterday and made a post. I left it up, because obviously the poor kid needs something to boost his ego.
