Fatties for Life
"fattie for life"
It’s amazing to see how far we’ve come.
Our third year of high school already,
We’re almost through.
We stared off young, shy, and nervous.
It just so happened,
We already knew each other from other friends we had.
The first year we were all still searching for ourselves.
By sophomore year,
We had established ourselves together.
We would have parties at lunch,
Everyone brought some kind of sweet baked good.
We had brownies, cookies, cakes, cupcakes, fudge-all sorts of sweets.
This inspired the name, “The Fatties”.
Now, our junior year, we’re growing even closer.
Hanging out all the time,
Throwing parties,
Having “paint wars”,
Producing, making, and staring in movies together
Even spending holidays together.
The relationships keep building and strengthening.
We know each other so well and have helped one another though hard times,
With such things as simple as studying for a test
And helping understand material covered in a class-
To the rougher things like breaking up with a boyfriend or girlfriend
And a death in the family.
We are completely honest and open with one another-
We feel comfortable asking for advice on something,
We are not afraid to tell each other when we’re being a “pain” or being “difficult”.
We are like a family-
Always there and always willing to help.
Even when we move and go off to college,
We will stay together as a family
Because that is who we are,
We are Fatties for Life.
