I'm petering out, emotionally, mentally, physically at the moment. Things have changed - my living arrangement in particular (got a housemate) - but I've also hit mid-job blues I think, just with work being so constant and demanding.
I really like orange, i really like work and the friends I've made in Orange are great, but i'm just tired right now.
I'm down in Sydney this weekend for my brother's birthday (25 today). Took the public holiday monday off, which really just made friday more stressful because I had to write stories not just for monday, but for tuesday and then do 50 million things before driving down lunchtime saturday. But I'm so glad i've got tomorrow off as well, and don't have to drive home now.
Last night Veronica and Trish and I went to Khob Khun in Lindfield ('our local' as veronica calls it) and then to Art of Fighting at the metro. been a while since I saw live music, so it was really nice to breathe some of that in. But I have to say I DO NOT miss the north shore train line or george street at 1am on a saturday night.
Was super impressed art of fighting played three songs off their first two eps, two of my absolute favourites. Was magic. One of those bands I always come back to...
It was great to hang out with v and trish. I've found it hard to keep up with everyone and make sure I see all my friends on my trips to sydney, but those I do see I appreciate. Tomorrow i'm hanging out with jo, don't know what we'll do but i hope it will be minimal! I don't know how i'll make the drive back without crashing, i'm so tired right now.
We went to this incredible indian restaurant in st leonards for lunch (birthday celebration). we ate goat and mustard leaf mush it was crazy times, but good. I think my brother's in a happy place, he and freya seem quite charming together. Nice to have a happy family.
feel a bit blegh but i'm sure i'll perk up soon. nothing like a menacing deadline to get the blood pumping
next time i'll write about when julia gillard and mark vaile came to bathurst.... what a disaster that was. But, my mug was in the local paper which is quite amusing.
