Rest In Peace... Chuck Hickman 1964-2006
My good friend Frankie informed me last night that Chuck, a member of the Great Lakes Bears that I knew as well, had passed away. He leaves behind a loving family & his Life Partner Tony.
Chuck was diagnosed with Cancer in his kidneys in November 2005. It spread to his lungs, and then his brain. He had 3 operations to remove tumors, until he finally said "No more operations" The tumors spread throughout his body inside & out. Tony did the best he could to take care of Chuck, taking a leave of absence from work, until last Monday, when Chuck was brought to a Hospice Care Center. Tony is very broken up, and Frankie will be with him all day tomorrow to help him with arrangements & emotional support. Chuck wished to be cremated, so there will be no wake. There maybe a Memorial Service, but I have not been told when and where it will be. They lived in Minooka IL, Southwest of Chicago.
Please say a prayer or whatever you believe in for Chuck and Tony... Tony has some difficult times ahead of him, I am glad Frankie is there to help him, and I have also let him know if he needs anything to let me know.
