continuing ear saga
Took Alia to the ped on Monday. The double ear infection is still gone, but her ears aren't draining as fast as they would like. So, the doc had me schedule another visit with them for 2 weeks out, and one with the ENT for three weeks out. the idea being if she is all better, we can cancel the ENT visit. The doc also gave us nasal steroids (Nasonex) to help shrink her nasal passages and, thereby, open up her eustachian tubes and allow drainage.
I really, really don't want Alia to end up with tubes, so I took her to the chiropractor this morning - per the suggestion of several parents I know. It went fine, and we are scheduled to go back a few times to try to make sure she is draining as well as possible. here's hoping the ears have drained completely by the time we get back to the ped.
