Little Boy Blue. Chapter 7

Mar 08, 2006 17:30

Again I only wrote part of the chapter I had planned, and again it turned out longer than expected. So at this point, what I had expected to be one chapter is looking like it'll actually be three. Meaning this story will, easily, be the longest Mullet-verse story yet. ...Just thought I should mention. ;)
There are a few references to some Birds of ( Read more... )

Aw, *hugs everyone*

You know, I'm going to have Tim/Junior/Goldie thoughts stuck in my head for days now. XD

Hurray for L-Ron!

And I think Bug's in trouble when they get home. (I hope she's not in for a spanking)

Remember kids, always ask before you inject your loved ones with nanites!

I've had those thoughts stuck in my head since before I started writing this fic! So distracting. (They adore Timmy, they really do.) ;)

Heh, we'll see about Bug. ^_^ I'm not sayin' anything, but I'm already working on the plot for the next story.

(doesn't everyone?)

Yahoo! So....any idea on when the next chapter will be done?

... -_- I thought maybe I'd ward off the brain-splitting headache and nausea that developed while writing this one by sleeping for an unspecified amount of time. Now that that's taken care of, I'm gonna reread my notes, and probably a couple of the previous chapters, to get things better sorted in my mind as to what's actually going to happen in chapter eight. There will be planning and plotting and possibly action in it, and I need to make sure I get things right with it, or else I'll have people asking "Whyfore did you have them do This when it would've made more sense for them to do That? I Logic at you! Logic!" and making me headdesk at my own stoopid. I may even have to redo my sequence of events to include more specifics of the next chapter or two. Though currently, I'm only about halfway through what I already had as my sequence of events, which is making me wonder WTF is going on with this thing and just how many chapters I'm actually going to end up with. Meanwhile, I have things due at the library and have to walk down to ( ... )

"Come in to my parlor"
Said the bug to the bat.

I'm not sure if I've dumped praise on you for this, but if I have a little more can't hurt.

Brilliantly written, cleverly put together and you're insane enough to keep track of it all.

Hm, not sure if you have or not. When I get email notices of comments, my main thoughts are "Whee! Feedback feedback feedback! Wahoo, I don't suck!" so, heh, I sometimes lose track of names. ;D

*grin* Thank you for the praise, it makes my little ego purr.
This is actually the first story I've really had to write a sequence of events for. Usually I just have it all in a general sense of order in my head, but there's just so much in this one. (Luckily, one sentence prompts of what's supposed to happen and when seem to be getting the job done nicely.)

Tim/Junior? But what would Kon/Goldie say? :P Seriously, Max and L-Ron are robotic love, and I love how comfortable Junior and Goldie are together. Question is so...questionable...and where is Huntress to get him to act like an unreasonable facsimile of a human being? If Tim is now Batman, does that mean Kon is now Superman? And Cassie is Wonder Woman?

But what would Kon/Goldie say?

Kon/Goldie: Can I watch?
Tim: -_-
Junior: Sure! :D
Tim: o.0 !
Junior: And if you tape it, can I have a copy?
Kon/Goldie: *high five* ^_^

Heh, I'm being vague about specifics on purpose. (So I don't paint myself in a corner, in case I eventually decide to do something else in the past/present.) People may or may not be certain things, I'm not going to confirm or deny. Just assume whatever you're happiest with, I doubt I'll prove you wrong in this story. ;)

*snorfle* Kon/Goldie so would, wouldn't they? And no problem with vagueness; so long as everyone isn't like they were in Titans Tomorrow *shudders*

All this talk of "Kon/Goldie" has me wondering whether they ever dated. Arg!

Ack! No! No Titans Tomorrow here. No "Pa Lex" or shooty Batman or...no. As far as I know, I'm not even using any of the future characters that were in it. ...Of course I haven't bothered to actually check it to see, but I'm pretty sure I haven't. *grin*

*cackles with delight and showers you with cookies for another brilliant chapter*

Aww, L-Ron and Max are cute. And I like that you dealt with Ted dealing with the "I got killed by one of my friends" thing aside from the hysterical "Why am I not dead?" thing. *Cuddles Booster and Ted*

Hahahahaha. Tim is teh broken from Booster! Bwahahahaha!

Oh, and that "meatpuppet" bit made me think of this. *snickers*

I'll be honest, Ted wasn't supposed to deal with that in this chapter. There was supposed to be an info dump, then planning. But then all of a sudden Ted's yelling at Max and Max is yelling back and by the end of the section I'm just sort of staring at the computer screen wondering WTF just happened. (And you can thank alba_aulbath for encouraging me to go ahead and show the fallout of that argument rather than just moving on to when they've cooled off. I sure do. *grin*)

I've read that thing before! Oh man, it's brilliant! *laugh* Thanks for the link, it's always fun to read oldie-but-goodies. ^_^

Also: I love your icon. Brilliant!

*grin* I assume you're talking about this one? It was made by nenena and I saw it and went "OMGWTFBBQPLEASETELLMETHAT'SGANKABLE". C: It is a thing of joyous squee.

*gives alba_aulbath cookies for encouraging you*

I love that story. It makes me giggle like a lunatic. ^_^

"people don't get better from being vaporized!"

Yes they do! They aren't vaporized, they're zapped to another dimension. *sticks fingers in ears and hums*

Poor Max. This is hard on him too. *hugs everybody*

Where did Junior get a certificate of sanity? Because if I had one, it would simplify my life.

Reply

doctorv March 9 2006, 14:46:47 UTC
It is. Max already went through "Grampa Grudge" once until Ted finally stopped blaming him, and now he's having to go through it all over again. (Also: Woohoo! I made Max a sympathetic character! *dance*)

Junior got his certificate the way anyone does. Psychiatric...evaluation and stuff. Haha, I'm really not sure on the specifics of how one acquires a certificate labeling them as sane. (I am a bad, bad psych student.) It was partially inspired by the episode of Batman: The Animated Series where Harley Quinn gets out of Arkham because she was declared sane and she was just pleased as punch to have the little certificate with the "SANE" stamp on it to show off to people. XD
The how of his acquisition of the certificate and the events leading to having to get it is actually trying to become another Mullet-verse future fic, with plot bits and scenes and everything. I'm debating writing it, because I fear there would be a woeful lack of Boostley goodness in it. :(

The part after Ted leaves the room and Max is staring at his feet and not talking about it is when I felt sorry for him. Poor boy. Man. Robot. Whatever.

I remember that episode! I miss that show. I wish the season sets weren't so expensive.

If you write it, they will read.
