I don't know that I've ever been so snobby in my iconning EVER. But iconning my namehandlesake? It had to be PERFECT, right? I have no excuse for how long it took me to do this either - I've needed a Lando icon for FOREVER. *is ashamed* I was hoping to get a new default out of this 20in20 so I could be all matchy-matchy and I tried to make every single one worthy of that. I did NOT manage that. AT ALL. *snorts* but I did junk more than I ever have and I think all of them are at least worthy of being used (maybe). And I DID get a new default! \o/
#1 Black - It would have been easy to do this in black and white but for some reason that caption just kept coming back to me. I think it's because I hang around wizard_icontest too much, LOL, and alexia_drake is always using this icon she made:
and it's got stuck in my subconscious. I can't pretend it doesn't fit the moment though, just after Lando realizes he's betrayed Han for nothing. OHNOES!!!!
#2 Busy - Lando is very clearly on a mission here and HE SHALL SUCCEED!!! I like the way the background just kind of bleeds away too, it makes me HOPPY!
#3 Dignity - I LOVE how this one turned out. It looks like BUTTAH - it's so smooth and clean, the smudging was really ace in this one. Yes, I had to smudge them all-ALL-all because I didn't use a high res gallery. Judge me then!
#4 Glow - New techniques! I don't know the glow is as nice as the one in 'Loyal' or that I like the icon overall (haven't decided yet) but I like the composition A LOT! I'll definitely be using it again!
#5 Hair - I was originally going to use the hero alt for this but, I mean, COMMON, this cap screamed, "the hair, WOMAN, the HAIR!" Plus, Lando's in his undercover get-up *squee* which is ALMOST as good as that cape, my friends.
#6 Hurt - I was brush, brush, brushing. I learned how to do light and shadows by painting lighter and darker colors directly on the image fairly recently - you may have noticed I did that on A LOT of these, hee - and this is as bold as I've got with it so far! :P
#7 Loyal - I know, I know, this could OBVIOUSLY just as easily be 'Glow' but I liked this for Loyal. It's after the whole "in disguise" Jabba rescue and Lando's back in the Falcon (where he BELONGS), a general in the Alliance, leading the attack on (and destruction of) the Death Star and the effing END of the EMPIRE altogether - if this doesn't say "loyal" I don't know what the hell does! 'M I right? I can't believe the bad rap someone gets for maybe just a little bit indirectly leading to somebody getting encased in frozen carbonite - it was to save a WHOLE city, dammit!!1!!1
#8 Scenery - I couldn't find any really good Lando scenery caps that I liked so instead I sandwiched him between two of my favorite (and scenic!!!!) Millennium Falcon caps, which is just where he belongs, no? NOT THAT I DON'T LOVE HAN IN THE FALCON!!1! But he was only ever borrowing it, right? hee.
#9 Symmetry - So in the comments to the Themes/Info post, someone asked for clarification on this prompt and in the examples narniacmr gave to explain was this icon:
and I KNEW I wanted to try it!!! I think it turned out b-e-a-U-tifully, just in my unbiased opinion ;) I thought these were two really good caps to use together too since Mr. Calrissian is only EVER remembered for that pesky, minor, itty bitty little *ahem* betrayal (and the cape, of course :P) BUUUUT in exchange for selling off that little piece of himself, he SAVES all of Cloud City so juxtaposing the two seemed appropriate ;)
#10 Two Colors - This one originally went to 'Busy' but there was no movement in the icon so you couldn't tell it was Busy with the cap cropped down to only really include Lando. THANKFULLY it fit the Two Colors prompt-y as well because (as you can see from the alts) I was hardcore sucking at it and I quite liked this one! \o/ HAPPY ACCIDENTS!!
#11 Category: One - It's the death star! What does it do? IT DOES DEATH. This composition is AMAZE - I love it, in color and the black and white. *sighs and kicks feet dreamily* I really can't decide which I like better. lalalala.

#13 Category: Three - I don't know. *headdesk* I was trying a new thing because I didn't like the cap on its own - the proportions were weird and I feel like the picture in picture distracted from it but I'm not sure I like the outcome. *strokey beard meeting on it*
#14 Category: Four - This cap looks staged just so I could fulfill the cat 4 icon! *sly grin* THANK YOU, LANDOOOO!!11!!
#15 Category: Five - As you can see, I COULD NOT decide which textures to use on this so I just piled up all of 'em and took grotesque advantage of my ALTERNATES blobbys!
#16 Artist's Choice One - The cape. I had to showcase the cape, didn't I? I thought I wanted text on it but I was wrong. It took away from how perfectly the cloak fell and its general awesomeness. Note to self: Start wearing cape ... (again)

#18 Artist's Choice Three - Um. Self-explanatory. Lando is a BADASS REVOLUTIONARY. Fact. I am currently *ahem* OBSESSED with this eyeline and below-the-eye crop combined with brown-y colors and scratchy textures - I see no end in sight really. Lando is AMAZE when he's smiley. Also, FACT.
#19 Artist's Choice Four - I don't know. Circles just happen sometimes. I have no control over it. Sometimes they just dance in and out of my vision. Hold the phone! I think that means I'm on the verge of some SERIOHS fainting spells, my friends! ... ah, well. *shrugs* What will come, will come. ← Look at me be all zen, BETCHES! Also, I like that image of Lando - checking himself out and clearly thinking, "MY GAWD, how did I get SO awesome?" That is life's great mystery, is it not?
