Ah wow, again this is breatakingly beautiful and vivid, with a undertone of darkness.
Wonderfully written, I love this series so much.
I think the best part for me was Noel standing up to Mallory and staying with Julian and that last sentence was amazing and a little heartbreaking.

Ahh. I love how much you imply in so few words; the descriptions are lovely without being overwrought and the dialogue reveals so much of the mood, it's wonderful. It was interesting that learning Noel's story raised just as many questions as it answered. And my heart totally sank with Julian's for that brief second until Noel put his foot down. God, I'm loving this story.

I'm really pleased that you don't think the descriptions are over the top - it was quite tempting to go mad with every bit of detail. And I'm relieved they don't seem to be getting in the way of the terrible events! Thank you!
