"All right, Rufus, check your email." Ned had crept up right behind Rufus and his mouth was hovering just behind his ear. Rufus blushed, startled.
"I sent you somethin', it is well mental," Ned continued, and growing impatient, he reached around Rufus with both arms and commandeered his keyboard and mouse. "Wait till you see it, yeah? I reckon it's like, my best work. Ever."
Rufus watched, laughing unconvincingly and trapped by Ned on all sides, as his email was accessed and Ned opened the attachment he'd sent. The image loaded and Rufus found himself frozen, his eyes slowly widening to the point of pain.
Ned laughed hysterically and smacked him on the shoulder. "What'd I tell you? I'm like, the Photoshop king, mate!"
The image's base was clearly from a gay porn magazine: two muscular naked men, entwined. But Ned had replaced their heads with his and Rufus'.
It was too much for Rufus to handle. Ever since they’d started experimenting, since Ashcroft had written that "Stray Culture" article, he'd been feeling well weird. With a strangled yelp, he pushed his way out of Ned's accidental embrace and fled.
"Oi, Rufus! Come back!"
"Idiots," Dan muttered from his desk.
