Living on a pipe line
We have a pipe line right in front of our home. They are replacing some of the pipe. It's a 36inch pipe which normally has gas in it. This has been interesing to watch. Digging it up, there is a pile of dirt about four times higher than me, I am 5ft.5in. Yesterday they start putting bales of hay down from the big hole, so I am getting worried about this wondering what in the world. The guys working are all so nice and answer any questions we have. So I go out to ask if I need to worry about this. They say no, They have put water in the pipe after replacing a part of it and now have to let the water out so the hay will filter the water before it goes into our lake. They say we are fortunate to have this gas company, who is spending a lot of money to keep us safe. There are three pipe lines and they are replacing a portion of two of them.
