I am glad Sandra Bullock won best actress---wasn't so sure about Jeff Bridges, but he has been around a long time and has done some great stuff[never recognized by the academy]. One of my favs is the movie where he is on an airplane and it crashes--based on a true story that happened in Iowa, not far from where I used to live. I forgot the name of the film, but he did a great job in it.
I was glad Hurt Locker won best pic--as for Avatar--I doubt it if the Academy will ever vote for a sci-fi film. I will try to get all the nominated movies either off line or pirate. I fail to see why "Inglorious Bastards" was even nominated--Just because it was directed by Quenton Tarantino[sp]or was it because it dealt with the Nazis and WW2--those era films usually are nominated. Was surprised to see the guy from Inglorious--win best supporting actor.
