Wow....
It has been awhile...
This summer has been so great!
I paddled on a dragon boat team. Our team name "Stroke This" made things even better! We were the most hated team (not just because of the name) and we were considered a joke amongst the other teams.
We ended up placing 8th (out of over 80 teams) in Thunder Bay and duh-duh-na-na!!! placed second on the weekend (in Duluth, out of over 80 teams) taking home silver medals in the gold devision!! We were 1.1 seconds away from 1st place!! It was such a good race! We were the #1 Canadian team (A Duluth team "Stone Dragons" took the gold) as well as the #1 Friends and Family team!!
Almost half of our boat was new this year, including me and Kyle!! (Kyle paddled with us in Duluth for all 3 races because we were short one person. Such a trooper!) The other teams from Thunder Bay were surprised when we won. It showed all over their faces. It was the best feeling ever!! I hope to paddle again next year!!
Me and the Kyles also went to Minneapolis after the Duluth festival!! The Mall of America and the Minnesota Zoo were awesome!! (Pictures to come eventually)
I have an interview with Comcare tomorrow at 11:30am. I'm so excited!!
Kyle's parents had there 25th anniversary a couple weekends ago. A bunch of relatives flew in and we had a huge feast at the Norwester. And no Kyle didn't cook! He drank and ate for once! It was lots of fun.
