HOLY COW! I have not updated my last 3 books now. I is slackery. Anyway, in this installment of Mercy, (which I read in one night), the Fay are all "Oh, we'd love to help but humans. You know. Sorry about that Fae baddie that ate your town." because the fae got burned pretty bad. This time, the baddie is a troll that wandered over to a bridge in Adam's territory and started to eat people. The Pack took exception to that and vanquished the troll. Mercy took it one step further and declared that the Pack would fight for their territory etc. and so forth. (It was really the Walking Stick's fault). This opened up a whole can of worms which caused the Marrok to cut Adam's pack off from the rest of the werewolves in order to maintain wolf neutrality. Also, other supernatural critters took the statement as a challenge.
And then there is Aiden. He's a human boy who got lost in the underdark? Whatever they call the sentient fae world. The fae homeland became protective of the child in that scary way that fae have of being absolutely not human. The boy escapes and asks for sanctuary from Adam's pack. A lot of the fae either want the child back because their homeland is upset and is being cranky that it doesn't have its pet human or they want the child dead because it's human (ish - the child has been trapped in the fae homerealm for a very long time) and they are jealous. Mercy and crew wind up protecting the child while also trying to find a solution to the cranky fae homeland. Plus they have to dodge irked fae doing irked fae things.
I liked this book quite a lot but it is a Mercy book. One of the things that happened was Adam took matters into his own hands and told the pack to quit with the Mercy bashing or he'd excommunicate them. It's what the pack needed to hear even though it pissed Mercy off to no end (she being her own person and all). Being cut from the other werewolves was interesting. I am looking forward to reading more about that.

Well-written? It wasn't as clever as the usual Prachett.
Would I read it again? Maybe.
Would I read a sequel/further adventures/etc? ...I have 1 more book to read and then there will be no more books. :(
In Steam, there is a bit about Mrs. Bradshaw and her book and lo! Here it is! I am lead to believe, however, that it wasn't written by Prachett himself but some sort of group or consortium or whatever. Anyway, it has a Prachett-esque style but isn't as witty or bizarre as the rest of his work. This isn't a bad thing though, it gives the book an air of being written by Mrs. Bradshaw with just a hint of Prachettness to let you know you are reading a Discworld book. I enjoyed the mix. This book basically is a travel guide to Traveling upon the Ankh-Morpork & Sto Plains Hygenic Railway and as such, has little snippits about the towns, in order they come on the line, where to eat, where to lodge and little trivia bits about each town. It was a fun little read.
