So, a kind of wrap-up. The second week of school is over. Amazingly, I seem to be getting into the swing of the semester. I've turned in two homeworks in Astronomy, three in Statics (two were returned for 10 out of 10), did my reading for my philosophy class.

Of course, the more things change, the more they stay the same. My romantic life is the same, and my overactive imagination and traitorous pleasure centers are getting me into trouble again. I've been reading "Young Avengers" which is a Marvel comic about these young kids who are recruited to be superheroes because they are in some way tied to the Avengers. Two of the main characters in this arc are Wiccan and Hulkling (or Billy and Teddy). Not only are they adorable, and adorable together, but they're superheroes. Shit. It doesn't help that I just found out in psychology class that I can find satisfaction by imagining something. No wonder I keep getting into these wish-fulfillment books and stuff. But now that I know this, I keep feeling worse because I know that it's not really, so I feel betrayed by my own emotions. What the hell is happening to me?

This is why I talk to Heidi. She's my counselor at TU, and she's awesome. Before I see her again on tuesday, I have to make a date to meet and have lunch or coffee that I've been talking to on the internet. It's homework from her. I'm nervous, but he seems cool, so I'll let you all know how that works out. (he's a local this time. ;-) )

This weekend was also the celebration of smokeywoods birthday, and she came into town for some partying. I went out with her last night and we had some fun at Dave n Busters and then later, Club Majestics, where EVERY GAY GUY THAT GOES TO MY SCHOOL SHOWED UP.

I'm not kidding.

Then today I woke up and ended up spending the entire day doing fraternity stuff. Saw Inglourious Basterds with some brothers, because they forced me to (kinda) and now I'm home. I'm still not really sure how I feel about that movie. It threw all my filters off-kilter.

Tomorrow (today?) is church, greek dancing, and other, and Monday is cookout for my dad's birthday (which was friday). Guess we;ll see how the rest of this weekend pans out.

Have a good Labor Day, y'all!
