So, rigth now, I'm sitting in my back yard to keep a stray dog company. We found hi
on campus during the band's introductory cookout. I do not plan to keep this dog, already owning 4, but my friend Libby is going to take care of him, at least for the night.
What really bothers me about all this is how the jackasses on campus behaved. My frat brother had caught the dog earlier, and used the cord from his earphones as a leash, having nothing else. Of course, some time later, while he was calling around for a place to put up this dog, the dog broke free.
In fact, he ran right into a group of freshman who were running around campus on a scavenger hunt. I yelled in their direction for someone to grab the dog. No one so much as twitched. I yelled again, louder, for someone to please grab the dog. Finally, one girl in the group went over and grabbed the dog, and brought him to me as I was running toward them. The only other response I got was one guy, who didn't even bother to turn around to look at me, yelling, "why isn't the dog on a leash?". After thanking the girl who helped me, I yelled back, "because he's a stray and we're trying to find a place for him to stay!"
I really wanted to call him a fucking asshole, but the dog took too much attention. Now it's just a waiting game.
