Those Germans have a word for everything
i think it's weird when I run into the same word or concept at least three different times in totally unrelated instances. Current bit of strangeness. A bit of word which is Weltschmerz. I have run into it in a book and on a web page. Both unrelated. I also think I feel a bit of Weltschmerz from time to time.
I have run in to the word more than once... twice the definition was given and it was slightly different. The first time I heard the word The depression that comes vhen one compares the way the world shoould be... to the way the world is.
The second was: Weltschmerz is a German word which loosely means "world suffering deriving from the inevitability of reality to never match up with our expectations."
The same thing but the first just sounds a bit more romantic. Not sissy romantic...
