So at this point I'm really only making these kind of mixes for myself and redlance_ck . In order we have:
1. The most tragic and angsty mix I have ever made. (Warnings: Physical/sexual abuse)
2. A slightly depressing but overall romantic mix.
3. A happy-go-lucky, very cracktastic mix.

Escape Another Night
Due to watching far too many re-runs of shows like Charmed/Buffy/Sabrina the Teenage Witch (Don't judge me) what started out as a simple thought; "WHAT WOULD IT BE LIKE IF EVERYONE WAS EVIL?" turned into a total bizarroworld scenario that just spiraled out of control into it's own uber depressing little AU.
In a nutshell, Sam's a bitch. A fierce borderline crazy bitch. Saying she bullies others to distract herself from her own suffering is an understatement. Some of the things she'd do would earn her a criminal record in the real world. Her father died when she was much younger, causing her mother to become a raging alcoholic and to marry a complete monster of a man who is both physically and sexually abusive to Sam.
Sam is both deeply homophobic and so far in the closet she practically lives in a shoebox. She's also dating super jock George!The Wife Beater, who oozes testoterone from every orifice and asserts himself over her at every opportunity. She has an on-and-off friendship with Harrison!The Man-Slut of Kennedy High who will screw anything on two legs. Nicole, who in this universe is mousey and unpopular, ends up killing herself due to Sam's (and Harrison's) relentless taunting.
Sam routinely drives two hours out of town to a brothel to visit (read: RAVAGE) Brooke!The Prostitute who she's been desperately in love with (and the feeling is totally mutual, which makes the ending all the more depressing) for months. She ends up killing herself for this very reason, visiting Brooke one last time and giving the obligatory speech about how she's the only thing in her life worth something, before handing over all her money to Brooke with the plea that she find someone to take care of her ("Better than I ever could." *insert baww*) and to leave her profession.
Then she walks out the door and hurls herself into oncoming traffic. (Or alternatively, off a bridge. Or a building. Something dramatic.)

Soulmates Never Die
Now, this one is a rare occurence in that it didn't really come about during a MSN conversation with Kirsty (so there's no convo in the download). Well, at least one not substantial enough to hold interest or have a conversation about, but it's a personal favourite.
In which Brooke is a medium (think Ghost Whisperer orMedium, only less...drama of the week) and moves with Mike into a huge old house where Jane lives. Like, an old hotel or something. It wasn't the main focus of the story, just that the house was rebuilt because it had previously burnt down.
And Sam died in that fire. Brooke didn't meet her until after she was already dead.
THAT'S WHERE THE ANGST COMES IN. Basically Brooke does the worst thing possible that could happen to someone who can communicate with the dead - she falls in love with a ghost. Of course the feeling is mutual and Jane thinks that Brooke is crazy talking to her dead daughter.
Eventually Brooke ends up killing herself so she can be undead with Sam.
No really, that's the basic premise of this one. So unlike in the first mix, this time it's Brooke who commits suicide. So now they're both dead - and together forever - but it still manages to be bittersweet and depressing at the same time as romantic.

Locked Forever
This one is my favourite of the bunch. I'd wanted to make another single genre mix ever since Hard for Breathing and even if these aren't all technically the same genre, they all have a vaguely similar sound, which I love. It's all very fast and happy right up until the last song, which is less so. It's just a bittersweet ending to a really positive and upbeat mix.
Anyway, this mix is about Brooke and Sam: International Jewel Thieves.
Yep. That's right. Think Bonnie and Clyde if it were a lesbian Rom-Com written by Adam Sandler and Tina Fey. Just that amazing. And the costume department is done by the same people on That's So Raven, where it's so ridiculously paper thin you wonder how anybody falls for it-
Because when Sam gets caught and arrested Brooke busts her out of jail by dressing up as a male prison guard, complete with a fake beard and everything. It's that kind of crack universe. The kind where Brooke has a breakdown in the middle of a bank robbery because she's PMSing and just broke a nail, and her gun is so heavy and it makes her arms tired.
This one has a very Thelma and Louise ending. You know, where they drive the car off the cliff holding hands to escape the police? Exactly. Happy, cracktastic = epic death. Going out with a bang indeed.
And because I love fitting macros. No really, both of these things happen in verse.
