Wow, its been such a long time since I updated. Its been about 6 months since I've come back from England. I fear I am losing touch with my friends back there. But I did get a drunken message from one of them last week or so. Haha, that's when they think of me most often, when they are drunk! Nice. I am probably going to go back for Spring Break this year. I am so excited, because they've told me they are going to live in a house that I can stay at. I miss the dormitory Childs Hall so much though. I even have a picture of it on my desktop. I went to the satellite on Google and its the most amazingly sharp satellite image I've ever seen. I told my friend Beth if she wrote a message in white sheets, I'd be able to read it on the satellite picture. That's how close it gets.
Well, Las Vegas is such a sucky place. I got a call from Natasha (Hey girl!) and she lives in New York now. And I'm totally jealous. I've made some plans for myself though. I was going to stay in Las Vegas and work as a teacher, because they are in desperate need of teachers. But now I've realized that if I stay in Nevada for the rest of my life I will be one of those people that asks "What did I do with my life?" And I don't care if the jobs are here, because I don't feel like I have a life here. And I'd rather have a life, ya know? So, my new plan is to graduate from the university here (prob in like 2 to 2 1/2 years) and then I am moving! I am so excited. I want to be a librarian. So, I am going to have to get a degree in Library and Information Science. This I can get in Austin, TX. And I know what people might think, but getting a degree in LIS can get me a job at a public library, school library, university library, children's library, art museum, digital library, film and media library. You name it. It would be kind of cool to work at a museum or an art gallery as well as a library. And Austin, TX is supposed to be a really cool place to live. On my part: Spoon (favorite band) are from Austin, Wes Anderson (favorite director) is from Austin, and a bunch of other cool people. They also have the SXSW and ACL Music Festival, live music capital of the world, nature trails for walking and biking (I need more exercise). I decided I am going to take a road trip this summer to Austin, TX. I want to check it out before I get too excited. But a road trip through Nevada, Arizona, New Mexico and Texas would be pretty cool.
Arg, I want to leave right now.
