(no subject)
Yesterday was the Ascension of Christ and therefore a holiday in Germany. But it is also "Man's Day" or something, which is much more unofficial, and basically is just another excuse for Germans to get drunk. In public.
A group of like... TWENTY of us... it had to be at least twenty (at least half are inside getting beer [since it was a holiday nothing else was open but a gas station] ). We walked all the way to this "Forest House" which is basically a bar in the middle of the woods. It took a pretty long time to get there. On the home stretch, we waded through this big field with grass or whatever up to about mid-thigh; it was really funny. A big parade of people wading through a huge field so we could drink in the forest. I don't know. You can't grasp the full feel of the train of people in this picture, but that's ok.
We didn't spend enough time at this Forest House place, and we started to walk back, so I never even got very drunk. So me and a few of the Americans went to this bar with this Crazy Moroccan Guy, and this couple, these two guys who I think were both German. It was amusing and we had Jaeger, cause... how can you not.
