My first real day of summer...

It wasn't really that grand of a day...but I guess I can't complain too much. I slept in late, then got up and ran a couple of errands. I put in a couple applications to work a morning-afternoon shift. I'd like to keep my job at Ozzie's unless I can just make an awesome amount of money elsewhere. So I think I might get hired at the Cracker Barrel. That'd be cool. We'll see though. I'll keep you updated.

Anyway, so i did that stuff, then went to work. It was slow tonight, but at least I made some money. I'm only like 25 bucks away from being able to make my cell phone payment! Woohoo!! LOL. Yeah...need to do that. I could probably go ahead and send a check in since I'd probably have the money by the time they get the check...but doing that would make me really nervous I'm afraid. So, needless to say, I'm just not going to do that.

Oh, tonight at work there was this girl, i think she's in the ROTC that meets at the airport 'cause she was with a few of those guys, anyway she was feeling pretty sick and nauseated. She was sitting outside of the restaraunt with some of those guys and one of them had come in and gotten her a glass of water. I remembered that when my mom was feeling really naseaous after her surgery, the doctor had her sniff some rubbing alcohol. So I found some rubbing alcohol and poured a little of it in this tiny cup and took it out to her. Upon sniffing it she actually began to cry more...so I felt kind of crappy. :( The paramedics came and took her, so I figured it must have been pretty serious. Anyway, so quite a while later, one of the guys that was with her earlier came in the restaraunt just to say thanks for helping out! I asked how the girl was doing, and she was doing better so that was good. But my point is this, I think that sweet guy made my entire day! And it was just by simply saying "thank you." What powerful words. It just really brightened everything up...there's nothing like feeling appreciated. So always tell people thank you. Don't just assume they know they're appreciated because they don't. We all need that reassurance!
