[action] hope you don't mind more non-continuity?command_medliNovember 14 2011, 00:38:25 UTC
[The adjustment period has not been good for Medli. In the past few hours, she's jumped off a cliff, been told that the food might be poisoned and that her every step is being watched, had someone list out over twenty different justifications for murder... and now a bruised and battered young woman just sat next to the fountain. Medli rushes over to her side.]
[Huh. So she is. Well, old habits die hard and all.] Oh! Um... well, just keep doing that then.
[That said, she reaches into over the fountain and cups her hands in it - so cold! - bringing out some (not perfect but thankfully pretty clean) water. She dumps a few loads of it onto her apron until it's properly soaked into the fabric, then grabs an edge of the dripping makeshift towel and crouches down in front of the other woman. And tries to smile gently instead of shiver, because using your own clothes for this? Not the brightest idea she's ever had.]
I'm sorry, but this may sting. Tell me when you're ready, alright?
[Nodding in return, Medli sets to work, gently cleaning the blood and debris from the visible wounds and avoiding the burns. She's only ever done this for real before with children, and although the wounds that they can accumulate in the Rito's volcanic rite of passage are great, they're nothing like this. It seems that whenever she applies the slightest pressure, it just starts to bleed anew.
But she keeps at it, stubbornly, until... well, it's better. But she knows she can't stop them from bleeding again with just a towel.]
Yes, that certainly seems true... but only the ones that are particularly deep. Some of these others I can wrap, so they don't become worse before you can get to someone who can heal you properly. If there even is someone like that here...
[And Selphie finds herself wishing that she hadn't been returned in the midst of a New Feather Cycle. They're going to be confused enough without freaking out about a kidnapping.]
Miss! Miss, can you hear me?

Loud and clear.

[She takes a breath, five seconds long, to try and help settle her own nerves. Then she exhales, slowly.] Like this.

On top of it, boss.

People don't always come back from their injured but other things have been known to happen.

But what am I even doing, talking about this? You need treatment, not idle conversation!

There's a clinic in the plaza.
