When I say The Spirit, I mean Darwyn Cooke's The Spirit, not the original, not the recent movie (I'll try not to cast aspersions on it, since I boycotted it when it was released and have never seen it), and certainly not whatever the hell happened to the comic after Cooke's run ended. This is a very geek friendly cast, and something of a reunion, too. What can I say, I like who I like. :D

It took me a while to settle on Keeslar - my perfect actor for the role is Alec Baldwin circa The Shadow, but I wanted to go with a modern cast. I wish he had darker hair, but I can definitely see him wearing Denny's mask.

What can I say? He's cute. :D

I think Tamblyn could pull off the sweet but tough Ellen really well, considering how BAMFy her characters tend to be. I didn't make her pictures black and white like the rest because there were such pretty colours in this shoot. Plus it shows how great she looks as a blonde.

Lieutenant Welsh pretty much was Dolan, so Beau Starr can definitely do the ridiculous but super competent thing (at one point I wanted a young Paul Gross to be Denny, since Welsh and Fraser = Dolan and Denny, but then The Middleman is basically the superhero version of Benton Fraser, so it all works out). I also think him and Tamblyn would play really well off each other. I wish I could find more recent pictures of Beau, since this shot is at least fifteen years old, but the guy hardly works any more.

The picture on the right is the reason why I chose Keeslar. I'd just love to see them back together.

Leah Gibson is my newest girl crush. She is just so gorgeous. She's possibly a bit young to play P'Gell, but again, gorgeous. And she has the best short curly hairstyle ever.

I'd like to see Marciano as a zombie. He needs the work. :/

The Writer/Director: anyone but Frank Miller. :D
