I had the most bizarre dream last night, involving my college's receptionist holding me captive in the building. If I was taking psychology, I might say that I'm expressing my stress over feeling trapped by my workload... but since I'm not, I'll just say I'm getting weirder. ^^
I'm looking into getting a new laptop, one that I can do my ICT work on, since Excel for Mac costs between £90 and £200 and then I'll need to get Access next year for the database coursework, and honestly, I really do not want to give Apple anymore of my money. I still love my laptop, but Apple's service, and the amount Mac accessories cost, is appalling. I really like the Lenovo but I need to scrape enough money together for it.
Apparently, there's growing evidence that A-Levels are being marked incorrectly, just a couple of days after I requested a remark of my English L+L Unit 1 paper (£55 for the remark, 2-4 weeks till I get the result). I'm wondering now if I shouldn't have had Unit 2 & 3 remarked as well, since I got very low As, but maybe that's pushing it. :D Mum thinks I should have my ICT GCSE redone too, since both me and my teacher thought I'd get an A, but I don't know, my coursework got pretty poor towards the end. It's depressing that the online marking is screwing up the grades. You spend months of your life studying and writing endless, inane essays and weeks having minor meltdowns between exams and it all counts for naught if they can't even give you the right grade!
I hope this doesn't backfire on me, my English teacher said he once had a student who got a lower grade after the remark. :/
I saw Death Proof on Thursday evening, which I loved a lot, hence the new banner. Girl power for the win! Is it wrong that when I saw Stuntman Mike, dated hair, shiny jacket and all, I thought "I'd hit that". I mean, I wouldn't get in a car with him, or in a car that was anywhere near him, but if we were away from automobiles... Hey, he's like an old, insane, original Jack O'Neill. Where is all the hot, kinky fanfiction? I can't find any!
Also? The soundtrack is fantastic. I can't get enough of "Jeepster" by T.Rex and "Chick Habit" by April March
Lastly, David Hewlett is absolutely smoking hot in the S4 promo shots. Tapping doesn't look too bad either. *ducks thrown objects*
