Weee! New music! :) I LOVE Loreena and I have that cd, but everything else is new to me. Thanks for sharing!

Made up words are abso-frakin-lutely cool. ;)

My little mac is sick again so it just went and shut down half way through the first download so hopefully it will stay on long enough to get it this time :)

Yay! I love Loreena too, and since you like that one I have a feeling you'll love most of the other stuff too. It's all kind of a mix of quiet ambient-type stuff including celtic and middle eastern and bossa nova type beats.

*shakes fist at naughty computer*

Doesn't it KNOW you have very important fangirling to do! Not to mention work and other daily necessities...

I like! It's a very cool mix. I've listened to it a few times already. :)

Very bad computer yes! I have to do everything in a word doc saving it every minute and then quickly transferring in case it shuts down on me.

I learned the other day that Tool is my best homework music. Ironic?

Nah, that totally makes sense. Back when I was still required to take math, I discovered that Tool and NIN were absolutely my best bands for studying math. Loud and angry and occupying just enough of my brain space so that I wouldn't get distracted.

But with grad school it's just hours and hours of reading...and then I seem to gravitate more towards the mellow ambient stuff.

AWESOME! Thank you! I am still trying to get music onto my new computer. I lost a hell of a lot of music when my old lappy died earlier this summer, so any downloads I see I snatch right up. :-) and after listening to some of the songs on here, I am very glad that I did. This mix is made of WIN!

Dude, that sucks so much that you lost all your music files! I've actually had that happen twice too, so now I'm completely OCD about backing up my music on an external hard drive. And I'm happy to upload more for you; tell me some of the bands/albums/songs you miss the most and I'll tell you if I have them.

I honestly cant remember the names of a lot of the stuff I lost. Most of it I came across by burning friends' cds onto my computer. I guess I mostly miss my metal/hard rock mixes. My Adema, Breaking Benjamin, 3 Days Grace, NIN type stuff. But there there were my "homework" mixes that I played in the background. They had songs like Mad World, Champagne Supernova, Wonderwall, stuff like that. And oh... my dance/ techno playlists. *wibbles* I miss those too. I really need to break down and get itunes on this computer, but after 3 years of buying music, I am a bit daunted by the amount of money I would have to spend on music AGAIN. If you have time or the inclination, feel free to upload stuff :-) I am always looking for new music and songs, so if you wanted to send over some of your fave stuff, that would MUCH appreciated. THANKS!! For the offer of music! :-D

I give you a ginourmous snaps up for your study mix. My recommendation for Study Mix, Part Deux is to include some Cocteau Twins. They're hella cool and very ambienty.
