So i finally heard back from Q101 about my tickets that werent at will call.
I won tickets during the taco/ticket weekend, and i just wanted to
say how
unhappy i am with Q101. I was told when i won my tickets that
they would be
mailed within the week. They never came and then i got a
phone call. I
appreciated the phone call letting me know that they
tickets for the first 2
show would be at will call. I unfortunately
wasnt able to make it out to
those shows. I was also told that my
tickets were still going to be mailed. I
got very upset when my tickets
still hadnt arrived and it was the day of the
third show. I got another
phone call saying my tickets would be at will call,
but i was also told
that the rest would be mailed. And yet they still never
arrived.
Finally, i got one last phone call saying my tickets for all the
shows
would be at will call. I would still rather have liked to have
the
actual tickets incase there was a problem at will call. And tonight
at
the starting line show, the tickets were not at will call. I showed
them
my id, they s aid my name wasnt on the list. I then told them that
i
had won them from q101, he looked again, still no tickets. He also told
me that they had not even recieved any tickets from Q101. He said that
when
you guys bring in tickets, you always bring them in in seperate
envelopes
with the peoples names on them. He said they did not have any.
The show had
already started at this point and he said they always
recieve the tickets
before the doors open. So i was forced to buy
tickets that i had won, and
thats fucked up. I should not have had to
buy my tickets, and i feel that you
should have to reimburse me for the
tickets since i was lied to by someone on
your staff. I was told that
tickets to all the shows would be at will call, i
was even given the
names and dates of the shows. Tonights show was one of
them. Where were
my tickets? Is this how its going to be for the rest of the
shows? Am i
gonna drive all the way down to the HOB, pay $20 to park, and
then not
be able to get into
a show i thought i had tickets to? I felt
like a fool tonight, and i
dont want to be made a fool again. I know some of
the shows that are
left are sold out. What will i do about tickets then when
i get down
there and my names not on the list cuz Q101 lied to me? I refuse
to be
made a fool again, and if this is how you treat all your
contest
winners, then i will find another radio station to listen to.

I'd like to personally apologize for all the confusion and
frustration
you've had with the Taco Ticket prize. I just tried calling you,
but
there was no answer and no answering machine or voicemail. I know we
had
a problem right of the bat because we never had enough time before
the
first show or between the last couple shows to mail the tickets.
They
were to close together to get them to you in time and the hard
tickets
were not printed for every show. This is why we continued to put
the
tickets or a list at will call. This then brought on the second
problem
you ran into with your tickets not being there. This was a huge
mistake
of ours because the tickets were not dropped off in time at HOB. I
am
very sorry for this. They were in route from another promotion and
stuck
in traffic. Your tickets did arrive late that night (after the show
had
started) and the HOB staff told us that some winners had bought
tickets.
We'd like to make this up to you! We know nothing can take
back the
hassles you've gone through, but we'd like to try... Your taco
gift
certificates were mailed and the rest of the tickets for the
remaining
shows WILL be at HOB... Without a doubt!
We'd also like to hook
you up with a Q101 prize pack to surpass the
value of the tickets you bought
that night. AND tickets to Taste of
Chaos March 14th at the UIC Pavilion if
you're interested in going.
