Evie had her door open, as well as her window, and was singing along with her mix CD from Jake while she read her Gods homework. Really, Ares did get around, didn't he?
"EEE!" Evie clapped her hands together and bounced, then got a grip on herself. "I mean. I would be thr-- happy! Happy, to go to the non-prom with you!" Then she looked a little sheepish, and admitted, "Layla said you were trying to buy tickets. She seemed to think-- well. I didn't want to assume...."
Evie quit bouncing after a minute, and grabbed Sokka's hands to swing them back and forth. "So we'll go together? And have fun even though it's not a formal event? And dance?"
"Yes! As a... You know, as a date thing." Sokka grinned at her. "I made SURE to write to What's-her-name and ask if there would be dancing, and she said yes."
"Yay! As dates!" Evie swung their hands even harder, then squealed and had to hug him. "And dancing! Oh, I'm sorry." She broke free and then beamed at him, still happy. "Thank you for asking me!"
"And I like dancing with you!" Evie bounced again, then said, "I meant the hug, but if you don't mind it..." She hugged him again, then gave him a kiss on the cheek, very quickly, blushing. "This will be such fun!"
Evie spun and spun and giggled until she was dizzy. "Oh! I have no idea what to wear! Do you think we should dress up?" She frowned. "Maybe I'll ask Buffy, since she put up the posters. Oh, but this will be fun!"
"Uhhhhh..." Sokka scratched his head. "I don't know? The posters said 'casual'? But it might be nice to dress up anyway." In something other than the velvet suit.
"Hmmm. Oh, I know! Modern wear!" Evie bounced again, then calmed, looking apologetic. "And I know you probably don't care, since you're a boy. But I'd like to dress up like the other girls! That would be very amusing."
He normally wasn't this red.

He looked embarrassed, too, but stepped closer anyway. And coughed. And shook a bit.
He closed his eyes and took a few deep breaths. When he opened them again, his bravado was up and running, and he cocked a smirk at Evie.
"So, hey. I can't get ANYONE to sell me prom tickets, not even your roomie. Which sucks. Wanna go to the not-prom thing instead?"

"Why else would I be trying to by tickets?" he asked softly. And leaned in and kissed her lightly.

The smile was probably a pretty huge giveaway that she was happy, though.

He coughed. "Yes! Yes it will! Fun!" He grabbed for her hand to twirl her around.
