I decided to join a reading challenge, since I like reading Christian fiction. The actual challenge is found here at
http://www.christyawardschallenge.com/2009/11/announcing-christy-awards-challenge.html What I'd really like to do is all the winners from my favorite category, but they don't have that in the "official" challenge tier levels. I can't do the higher ones since I am restricted by geography to getting some of the books.
So I am going to do tier 4: any one year's winners or mix/n match winners 7-9 books.
I'm actually going to read all the winners in the Historical category that I can get my hands on easily.
Here's the list:
Out of the Red Shadow by Anne de Graaf - WINNER 2000 (International)
The Meeting Place by Janette Oke and Davis Bunn - WINNER 2000 (North America)
Edge of Honor by Gilbert Morris - WINNER 2001
Hidden Places by Lynn Austin - WINNER 2002
Candle in the Darkness by Lynn Austin - WINNER 2003
Fire by Night by Lynn Austin- WINNER 2004
King's Ransom by Jan Beazley and Thom Lemmons - WINNER 2005
Whence Came a Prince by Liz Curtis Higgs - WINNER 2006
Madman by Tracy Groot - WINNER 2007 (not sure I can get this one)
A Proper Pursuit by Lynn Austin - WINNER 2008
Until We Reach Home by Lynn Austin - WINNER 2009
From a Distance by Tamera Alexander - WINNER 2009
So, that is actually 12 or 13 books. If I can do that, I'm bumping up the challenge to all nominated books I can find in the Historical category.
I'll let you know how it goes.
