Writer's Block: Tearjerkers

Dec 11, 2011 20:14

I'm a wimp when it comes to movies...even ones that aren't supposed to make you cry make ME cry so.....the ones that will, no matter what are:

Steel Magnolias - it's not when Julia Roberts' character dies, it's when Sally Field (the mother) loses it after the funeral. I cry every. Single. Time.

Schindler's List - when I first watched the movie in the theatre I cried the entire way through...now, it's a specific scene - and again, it's  when the main character just loses it - when Oskar Schindler is getting ready to run for his life after the war and he breaks down saying that he could've saved more...just one more life.  Just thinking about the scene has me choked up right now.

Harry Potter & The Deathly Hallows pt1 & 2 - When Dobby dies...when Snape dies and when the Weasley twin dies.  Mainly when Snape dies.

Elizabethtown - the scene close to the end of the movie where Drew is driving back across country with his father's ashes.  He starts talking to the urn, remembering and there's this scene where he's driving down the freeway, tears streaming down his face...just kills me.
