Totally in fangirl mode right now
Christopher Lee is releasing a metal concept album about the life of Charlemagne. Until today, I had no idea how badly I wanted that in my life. That just sounds...beautiful.
Jared Padalecki and Genevieve Cortese are engaged. Now, Jared's been engaged before and broken it off, but hopefully things go better this time and the they are very happy together for the rest of their lives. Mazel tov to them! That being said...the pathetic fangirl in me is hoping they have a daughter so I can put a face to that Mary-Sue OC I created for all those guilty pleasure Sam/Ruby spawn!fics that will never see the light of day. (Come to think of it, that might be the creeper in me, too.)
I haven't read a Star Wars book in years, but after lazypadawan's review of Clone Wars: Wild Space, I just had to get my hands on a copy. I am currently on page 40 and loving every weepy, overly-emotive, cheesy-fan-fic-esque word.
As I've mentioned before, next semester I am taking a class called "Islam, Judaism and the West". Today, I got the book list for that class. The titles include "Palestine-Israeli Conflict", "Arab Nationalism in the 20th Century" and "Nazi Germany". This is going to be so much fun.
Throw in the rumor about possible Star Wars/DCU crossovers, and you have one happy fangirl.
