Well...the 5-episode trial period is up.
I think I like it. I wasn't super convinced at first, because all the flashbacks focused on Snow, Charming, and the Queen/Witch. But now that they've begun to branch out, I'm liking it a lot more. I'm starting to get attached to the characters, and I love the Lost-y feel to the whole show. I think the bit that has gotten me the most emotional so far was Jimminy Cricket's episode "Still Small Voice" when they revealed that the boy he would helping was Gepetto, not Pinocchio. I got all the happy chills when the blue fairy said that. :)
The only thing that is killing me a little is how poorly the show portrays adoption, both with the Mayor and Henry, and with Cinderella's story. Adoption is not a terrible thing, people! Most of the kids go to fantastic homes and DO get their best chance! *breathes* Okay, I'm good now.
On to episode six!
