Less than 24 hours!
So...it's been forEVER since I've done an update on myself... Basically, I'm stressed to the max about a job for the fall. I can't work as a para again next year; the salary just doesn't cut it. This was supposed to be an "entry" sort of job, where I would just fill a slot when people quit/retired/transferred at the end of this school year. Only trouble is...so far we haven't lost anyone. I went to the Conroe ISD career fair, but those things are always a joke. A thousand people handing out resumes to fill 15 slots? It was like a feeding frenzy in high heels. Not very encouraging. And I have to give my apartment my 60-days notice by June 1st. Yeah. No pressure.
On a more exciting note...I AM GOING TO MY FIRST CON THIS WEEKEND!! I'm going to Anime Matsuri with my friend Katie.
Oh, yeah. I watch anime now. XD
Katie got me to try a 16-episode anime called Baccano! and I actually really enjoyed it. I'm now in the middle of Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood, which laura_josephsen has been bugging me to watch for a while now. ;)
It's a Friday-Sunday con (don't worry, we'll take off for Easter service), and I've got 3 costumes. Friday I will be an OC Pokemon trainer. All day Saturday, I will be Jacuzzi Splot from Baccano - my first crossplay. ;) This is Jacuzzi. I gave y'all the whole google search because it's hard to find good pictures of him and the whole costume. Sunday's costume is top secret, but I guarantee that you will all recognize it.
I'm excited about the whole thing, but SUPER DUPER excited for the RAVE on Saturday night. I've ALWAYS wanted to go to a rave--but a safe one. One where I'm not worried someone will slip GHB or E into my drink. I've got a rave-friendly outfit and a bag full of glowsticks ready to go. This weekend is going to be legend--wait for it...DARY.
Now I'm off to Katie's house so that she can practice drawing Jacuzzi's tattoo on my face.
